men with access to male privilege (yes Black men too. yes men who are assigned female at birth too. yes gay men too.) can be misogynistic.

that’s it. and i’m not going to specify and pretend that some men who are marginalized have not been sexist towards me directly. everyone wants me to say “straight cis white men.”

fuck no.

i know trans* men—yall can be just as shady as cis men. *and* to separate cis men from trans* men is to implicitly say that the latter is a lesser man. a. that’s not true. b. that’s not true so i will do so even when im calling men out.

i know gay men. read the above.

i know Black men. read the above. twice.

i know men who’s identity intersects with all of the fucking above.

the point is that men with access to male privilege can and DO perpetuate sexism. i dont need to hear “not all of us are like that.” im fully aware of this, but if you feel the need to say that, then maybe you are “like that.” if you weren’t, you’d be thinking about the people who suffer at men’s hands.

I find that gay and/or trans* men are often MORE misogynistic than straight or cis men
